Sundressed – ‘The Same Condition’

Cool. This album is cool.

Sundressed, the little band from Arizona that recently joined Take This To Heart Records have made a really cool album in The Same Condition. In mere seconds the band somehow manages to feel like an artist you’ve always known. All four of the tracks on the release sound just like the kind of songs you sing in a dirty basement with a cheap beer in your hand, loudly, and in unison with your closest friends. It’s familiar, fun, and a little rough around the edges.

Fans of heartfelt pop punk and frank, relatable lyrics likely already know bands like The Hotelier and Modern Baseball- and if any of that sounds appealing you’ll be right at home with Sundressed’s dressed-down musical style and just plain enjoyable songs. The EP is filled with humble harmonies and gang vocals that decorate enjoyable choruses that are hard not to enjoy.

The Same Condition isn’t flashy or complex, it’s straightforward and fun, and that’s exactly the way you’ll like it. The EP is available on bandcamp for streaming or purchase, and if you’re curious at all, their previous record Dig Up A Miracle is just a fun. Need even more? Look out for label mates No Tide and Dead Leaves.
